Eyelash extensions are a cosmetic makeup application used to enhance the length, curl, fullness, and thickness of your natural eyelashes. The extensions may be made from several different types of material including mink, silk, or synthetic hair. The main method of applying the extensions is by using a cyanoacrylate adhesive to apply the extensions to the natural lash 1-2mm from the base of the natural eyelash, never making contact with the eyelid with a 1:1 ratio of one extension applied to one natural lash. Due to the average person having anywhere between 100-200 lashes per eye, it can take 1-3 hours to attach a full, new set. The amount of lashes one can put on varies upon the existing natural eyelashes. Because we lose natural eyelashes every day, the eyelash extensions usually last between 3-4 weeks and during that time period, natural lashes start falling out or thinning. Maintaining a full set of eyelashes requires a fill every 2-3 weeks or a partial set every four weeks. When done correctly, there should be no damage to the natural lashes. Classic lashes are a one-to-one ratio, meaning one lash extension is applied to one mature natural lash. To cancel or reschedule, please either call the front desk or manage your booking through the email/website notifications you should have received. Anyone who cancels their appointment within 24 hours of their scheduled appointment time will be encouraged to reschedule, otherwise, that person is agreeing to forfeit their downpayment for the service. Individuals who cancel their appointment before 24 hours of their appointment will receive a refund of their downpayment. New Beginnings reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or block any person from receiving services for any reason.
