BOTOX

_______________________

WILL I LOOK OVERDONE WITH BOTOX®?

You should not lose the ability to show expression when you are treated by someone who is licensed, trained, and a medical expert in facial anatomy. It is important to talk to your aesthetic specialist about the results you want from treatment.

HOW QUICKLY WILL I SEE RESULTS WITH BOTOX®?

Typically, patients notice a difference within 3-5 days but it may take up to 2 weeks for the full effect. It is recommended that first-time BOTOX® clients schedule a 2-week follow-up appointment to assess the overall result and whether an additional dose is required to achieve your optimal results.

HOW LONG WILL BOTOX® LAST?

Typically, you should expect 3-4 months; however, this is highly variable depending on each person’s individual metabolism and the amount of medication used. Anecdotally, clients who are very thin or exercise frequently may need more frequent injections or higher doses of BOTOX® to achieve their desired results.

WHAT ARE COMMON SIDE EFFECTS SEEN IN CLINICAL BOTOX® STUDIES?

In studies for forehead lines, 9% of patients experienced headache, 2% had brow drooping, and 2% had eyelid drooping. In the frown line studies, 3% of patients experienced eyelid drooping, and in the crow’s feet studies, 1% of patients experienced eyelid swelling. Other possible side effects include: discomfort or pain at the injection site; headache; and eye problems: double vision, blurred vision, drooping eyelids, dry eyes, and swelling of your eyelids. These are not all of the possible serious side effects of BOTOX® Cosmetic. Please talk to your specialist and read the Important Safety Information provided at your appointment.e writing is clear and concise, and helps visitors get the support they need in the most efficient way. Consider elaborating with examples or visual aids to ensure all users fully understand the information.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY BOTOX® APPOINTMENT?

Do not drink alcohol, take medications or supplements, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or fish oil, that may thin the blood in order to prevent bruising. It is fine to resume these medications/supplements after receiving your injections. It is ideal to come to your appointment with a clean face.

WHAT IS THE AFTER-CARE FOR BOTOX®?

Ideally, wait at least 1 hour before reapplying makeup. Do not lie down or rub/massage (including facials) the injection area for 4 hours after receiving BOTOX®. You should avoid vigorous exercise (e.g., weight training, CrossFit) for 24 hours but may resume light exercise (e.g., walking, jogging) 4 hours after receiving your injection.

DERMAL FILLERS

_______________________

DO DERMAL FILLERS HURT?

JUVÉDERM® injectable gels labeled with "XC" contain pain-reducing lidocaine to help manage pain or discomfort during the injection. You may also ask your aesthetic healthcare provider about a topical numbing cream or ice to help further minimize discomfort.

HOW MUCH DO DERMAL FILLERS COST?

The cost not only includes the price of the product, but more importantly, the skill and expertise of the specialist or healthcare professional who is administering your treatment. Look for someone who is licensed and trained and has experience treating patients with the JUVÉDERM® Collection. Be wary of discount products or “cheap” JUVÉDERM® Collection treatments —if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

It is more important to find an experienced specialist who will take the time to understand your treatment goals and develop a treatment plan that is right for you.

WHEN WILL I SEE DERMAL FILLER RESULTS - AND HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?

You will see results immediately. Results may last one to two years, with optimal correction and depending on the formula used.

ARE THERE ANY REASONS WHY I SHOULD NOT RECEIVE ANY JUVÉDERM® INJECTABLE GEL FORMULATION?

Do not use these products if you have a history of multiple severe allergies or severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), or if you are allergic to lidocaine or the Gram-positive bacterial proteins used in these products.

WHAT PRECAUTIONS SHOULD MY PROVIDER ADVISE ME ABOUT REGARDING DERMAL FILLERS?

  • Tell your provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The safety of these products for use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding has not been studied

  • Tell your provider if you have a history of excessive scarring (e.g., hypertrophic scarring and keloid formations) or pigmentation disorders, as use of these products may result in additional scars or changes in pigmentation

  • Tell your provider if you are planning other laser treatments or a chemical peel, as there is a possible risk of inflammation at the treatment site if these procedures are performed after treatment

  • Patients who experience skin injury near the site of injection with this product may be at a higher risk for side effects

  • Tell your provider if you are on immunosuppressive therapy used to decrease the body’s immune response, as use of these products may result in an increased risk of infection

  • Tell your provider if you are using medications that can prolong bleeding, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or other blood thinners, as this may result in increased bruising or bleeding at the injection site

  • Minimize strenuous exercise, exposure to extensive sun or heat, and alcoholic beverages within the first 24 hours following treatment

WHAT ARE POSSIBLE DERMAL FILLERS SIDE EFFECTS?

As with all skin injection procedures, there is a risk of infection.

FACIAL CONTOURING

_______________________

HOW MANY FACIAL CONTOURING TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

Your specialist will create a tailored treatment plan based on your chin profile. At each treatment, you will be given multiple small injections under your chin. You may receive up to 6 treatment sessions, spaced at least 1 month apart. Many patients experience visible results in 2 to 4 KYBELLA® treatments. 59% of patients received 6 treatments in clinical studies.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE FACIAL CONTOURING SIDE EFFECTS?

KYBELLA® can cause serious side effects, including injection site problems such as bruising, hair loss, open sores (ulcers), and damage and tissue cell-death (necrosis) around the injection site or trouble swallowing and nerve injury in the jaw that can temporarily cause an uneven smile or facial muscle weakness. In clinical studies, nerve injury in the jaw resolved on its own in a median of 44 days (range of 1 to 298 days), and trouble swallowing resolved on its own in a median of 3 days (range of 1 to 81 days).

The most common side effects are swelling, bruising, pain, numbness, redness and areas of hardness around the treatment area. These are not all of the possible side effects of KYBELLA®. Call your healthcare provider if you develop open sores or drainage from the treatment area or for medical advice about side effects.

HOW LONG WILL FACIAL CONTOURING RESULTS LAST?

When injected into fat under the chin, KYBELLA® causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat. After reaching your desired aesthetic, further treatment is not expected.

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE FACIAL CONTOURING TREATMENT COST?

KYBELLA® is priced per milliliter (mL). Most patients require 2-4 mL per treatment. Your cost not only includes the price of the product, but more importantly, the skill and expertise of the healthcare professional who is administering your treatment. Look for someone who is licensed and trained and has experience treating patients with KYBELLA®. It is important to find an experienced specialist who will take the time to understand your treatment goals and develop a treatment plan that is right for you.
